I remember seeing this product when it first showed up on Shark Tank, but hadn’t looked into it again until about two weeks ago. I saw the Minecraft collab and decided I’d make the Zombie as a gift for my 9yr old brother. He loves Minecraft, and I first fell in love with it too around his age, so it felt like a really neat entryway into what could be a new hobby. I had never tried crocheting and new absolutely nothing about it before this.
I was pretty impressed. The overall design of the kit is really inviting and fun looking, and the materials they give you are good quality with a matching theme to your product as a cherry on top.
This was one of the first times I tried a new hobby and wasn’t frustrated with my mistakes. I had to start over my first couple rounds twice, and both times I really wasn’t bothered. The videos are very clear and informal, and there’s a lot of small nudges of encouragement between the lessons to help keep you from losing faith in your piece.
I really enjoyed being able to take on the challenges of new stitches while still having the option to go back and refresh my memory or even use it on steps I had to repeat when I got a little too nervous.
It says the Zombie takes around 2-8 hours to finish, but I didn’t really have any chances to sit down for one big session and do it. I squeezed in an hour or hour and a half in between running errands and working, so overall it took me around 4-5 days to finish, but again, that’s because I really took my time.
By the end I was really satisfied. It felt like I really got the product I was looking for, while still having a twist of my own personality on it so it isn’t a simple replica. Plus, my little brother loved it! When I showed him the videos of me making it that’s when his face really lit up and it seemed like that’s what really brought the value of the gift to him, and that completely melted my heart.
I can’t say I’m gonna be somebody filling up my room with crocheted plushies for myself, but I could definitely see this becoming a new hobby for me to make as gifts for others, and of course at least make a COUPLE for myself if/when some extra special collabs release in the future.
So yeah! A lot of words and rambling, but in the end all I’m really trying to say is this is a great product, a great introduction for anyone looking to get into this specific activity, and I’ll almost certainly be getting another in the future.

I got this for christmas, so I typed in the code for the instructions on the app, but it wouldn't go through! I have tried for 45 minutes and it still won't accept my code! No info in bag at all, entirely useless without video tutorial.😟totes bummed, my dude.
