This was so much fun to make! If you never crocheted I would start with something easier like a penguin or rabbit. If you have had success with the easier Woobles, give this one a try. I love the details on this owl which is why it’s one of my favorites!

I purchased the Darwin the Owl beginner kit as a gift for my husband. I crocheted it for him. It was such a fun project. The started piece definitely makes it easier to learn what you’re doing. The step-by-step videos are easy to follow along, rewind, skip ahead, etc. The pieces you start on your own get more trick, but it’s a fun challenge. I’m now working on accessories I purchased to go along with the owl. I would purchase more kits to keep this hobby going. My wooble is a bit wonky, but it’s what I love about it. You can tell it’s my first time & it’s unique LOL.
Loved making Darwin! He’s my 3rd Woobles and the easiest to make in my experience. I really appreciate the Beginner+ tag even though I’m already familiar with basic crochet techniques — sometimes I forget how to do basic stitches, so I’m glad that the Beginner+ videos give me reminders and reassurance that I’m doing things right.
Now I’m happy that I can catch Darwin staring at me from my bookshelf :) I didn’t connect the glasses because I thought he looked cuter this way
