This kit was really fun to complete and Albie looks amazing!
I recently completed my first intermediate Woobles kit, Albie the Phoenix. I had great experience with this kit! I’ll admit I was a little nervous since this level doesn’t show every single step, but finishing a few Beginner Plus kits beforehand helped.
This kit helped me pick up some awesome new crochet techniques, and I was able to complete it pretty quickly — around 4 hours total. I’m still new to crochet, but with each Wooble kit and tutorial, I can feel myself improving and learning faster.
For anyone thinking about starting their first intermediate kit, I’d recommend doing several Beginner Plus kits first, and maybe one more Beginner Plus kit right before you advance. It makes the jump much easier.
The only small thing I’d change is that I wish patterns could be downloaded and viewed easily from any device or browser. Otherwise, it was such a fun project and a big confidence booster. Highly recommend the Phoenix for anyone ready to level up!
This wooble wasn’t as challenging as I had hoped it to be and I wasn’t as happy with the end result as I was hoping also. Though these things did discourage me, this wasn’t the brands fault any more than it was my own. I would recommend it for your first intermediate but also recommend to really take your time to make sure that it turns out how you want/expect. Aside from that, this wooble was still very cute and fun to make and I will love it no matter what.
Albie was my first intermediate kit after three beginner kits and I was a little nervous to jump in, but it was so fun! I learned new techniques and the videos were so helpful!
I love Phoenixs, so I was so excited when I saw this kit. It was an Intermediate, and at the time I was a Beginner, so I had to work up to it. When I finally got it, everything was fine until I finished the body, and I ran out of orange yarn. So, I improvised and replaced the orange in the wings with red. I finished the tail, but I had used up all of the red yarn, so I finished the head crest with yellow yarn. But, overall the Phoenix looks amazing. I absolutely love the tail.
